One of the many International Students’ Societies at the Medical University of Varna successfully organised an exciting 6-a-side football tournament on Saturday, the 15th of November. Among the participants was a team of international students from Sofia, who travelled to Varna specifically for the event.
 

After a series of competitive matches, our visiting team from Sofia advanced to the final, where they faced a strong squad representing the Medical University of Varna. In a tightly contested and energetic match, the Sofia team secured a 1–0 victory, becoming the first team from Sofia to win the International Students’ Cup in the Varna tournament. The decisive goal was scored by Aschti Osso, who found the net with a superb free kick.

The champions were composed entirely of international dental students from England and Germany, ranging from 3rd to 6th year, proudly representing their faculty and university. The team was captained by Adam Amin, a fourth-year dental student. The squad also included Usman Akhtar, Aschti Osso, Amaan Mallu, Samad Hussain, Isa Zaroo, Basel Salah, and Yusuf Arshad.

Their remarkable achievement highlights the spirit of collaboration, sportsmanship, and community shared among international students across Bulgaria’s medical universities.
