Application Documents Required:
If the applicant cannot submit his / her application documents personally, a power of attorney should be submitted. The power of attorney should be legalized, with a certified translation in Bulgarian. If issued on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, the power of attorney should be notarized.

Administrative Fees for services for reception of foreign citizens:
Fee for submission of documents – BGN 70. Paid at the cashier’s office of the MU – Sofia, Rectorate.
Fee for transfer of foreign students from Higher Medical Schools abroad in the specialties of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy at the Medical University-Sofia in the amount of BGN 200 with VAT. Paid at the cashier’s office of the MU – Sofia, Rectorate.
Price of the Training Manual for self-preparation in biology and chemistry – BGN 30.00. Paid at the cashier’s office of the MU – Sofia, Rectorate.
Fee for the entrance exam in English, Biology and Chemistry – BGN 400. Paid at the cashier’s office of the MU – Sofia, Rectorate.
Note: Entrance exams will be held in face-to-face or online distance forms depending on the epidemic situation in the country and the orders of the Ministry of Health and officials authorities.
The Rector of MU-Sofia will not enter into contracts with private companies and individuals to recruit students for the new academic 2022/2023 year.

1. Admission of EU and EEA nationals and the Swiss Confederation:
1.1. Deadline for receipt of documents: 20.07.2022 to 14.09.2022
1.2. Entrance Exams in English, Biology and Chemistry: 17.09.2022 / Saturday /
1.3. Announcement of the results of the Entrance Exams: 20.09.2022
Note: If one of the components of the Entrance exam is not passed, the exam is considered failed.
The results of the written works are final and not subject to re-evaluation!
1.4. Ranking – 21.09.2022
The ranking of the candidates is done on the basis of the summed grades in biology and chemistry from the diploma for completed secondary education and the grades from the three components of the exam. Maximum score: 30.00.
NOTE: All EU and EEA citizens shall present their Diploma for completed secondary education and issued by the Regional Department of Education at Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Bulgaria, Certificate for recognized completed secondary education with grades equivalent to the grades under Article 9, para. 1 of Ordinance № 11/01.09.2016 for evaluation of the learning outcomes of students.

Note: All candidates who have successfully passed the entrance exams in English, Biology and Chemistry in English are accepted.
Start date of the new academic year (in English) for students in the Specialties of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy – 24.10.2022.
Submission of documents for transfer of foreign students from medical universities in the country and abroad – until 20.08.2022 in accordance with item 4 of Section IX of the Regulations for preparation and conduct of the academic year – “RULES for transfer of foreign students – citizens of the EU and the EEA and from third countries at the Medical University – Sofia from other Higher Medical Schools in the Republic of Bulgaria or abroad.”
