Forthcoming DENTA_SOFT trainings on soft skills

The project “EXPLORING, ASSESSING AND APPLYING SOFT SKILLS IN DENTAL MEDICINE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS” is currently on his second phase of implementation after trainings’ topics have been identified.
 

Total of 5 topics have been selected, starting with the first topicIntroduction to soft skills course – essence, basic groups and significance for the, quality of job performance and success in the dental work environment”, to be followed by “Types of doctor-patient relationships and building rapport in dentistry – mutual trust, empathy, respect, understanding, and shared responsibility. Informed consent”. The third topic is related to “Communication and interpersonal skills – verbal and nonverbal communication, patience & active listening”.


“Dental fear, anxiety and phobia. Diagnostic features, methods for anxiety reduction and coping with difficult patients” is the fourth one, as the trainings conclude with the last one “Stress, time and challenges management in dentistry. Sources of stress and burnout prevention. Types of conflicts and conflicting styles”.


These trainings aim to train 5 teachers by each faculties, who consequently will train 80 students from each participating university.


The consortium partners are Medical University - Sofia, Bulgaria - Project coordinator, “Grigore T. Popa”, Romania, University of Oviedo, Spain, “Aristotle University of Thessaloniki” - Greece and “Hatay Mustafa Kemal University”, Turkey.
