About the Department
Department "Pediatric Dental Medicine"
The training in pediatric dental medicine aims to prepare highly qualified specialists in dental medicine, capable of solving independently and competently theoretical and practical problems in the field of pediatric dental medicine. The training of residents and Ph.D. students is carried out following the modern scientific achievements in the specialty.
The department teaches 3 disciplines related to oral health in childhood:
- Oral Embryology, Histology and Biology;
- Preventive Dentistry;
- Clinical Pediatric Dental Medicine.
The Department provides training of:
- Masters of Dental Medicine (4th to 10th semester);
- Bulgarian and international dental residents - 3-year postgraduate vocational training program in the specialty "Pediatric Dental Medicine";
- PhD students in Pediatric Dental Medicine, accredited by NEAA.
