To the attention of all dental students!
All students should be informed about the topics of the lectures and practical classes for the distance learning period - 09.03.2020 - 27.03.2020 (4, 5, 6 weeks).
The curricula have been uploaded to the Department's website http://www.fdm.mu-sofia.bg/en/departments/dental-oral-and-maxillofacial-surgery/schedules/ (lecture schedules and exercises for the 2019/2020 academic semester).
Distance Learning in Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is conducted in the form of self-study, using mainly the following literature sources:
- Basic principles in Oral and maxillofacial surgery. RoPrint Ltd., S., 2018,
- Basic principles in Oral and maxillofacial surgery. Sofia: 2015,vol II
- Contemporary oral and maxillofacial surgery, Sixth edition, 2014, Mosby, Elsevier, Editors: Hupp, Ellis, Tucker
- Fragiskos D. Fragiskos, ORAL SURGERY, 2007, Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg
The forms of control over students’ distance learning are as follows:
- Completing the tests in Word format;
- Preparation of short papers - up to 2 pages of the mentioned topics in the curriculum for theoretical and practical training;
- Preparation of group projects –for 5-th year students(for English language training) on a predefined topic.
At the end of the reference period, each student sends the written work and the answers to the tests to the respective group assistant professor by e-mail;
The assistant professors evaluate the students' written work and complete report form of the students’ study activity carried out during the distance learning period.
The e-mails of assistant professors and habilitated persons may also be used for remote consultation and are included in the attached list.
We call for a responsible attitude towards this new and unusual form of training for our specialty.
