In the department of Orthodontics, students are taught in one discipline - Orthodontics.
The course in Orthodontics provides knowledge and competencies for accurate diagnosis, prophylaxis, and clinical activities necessary for the organization and implementation of dental care. It also includes managing complex interdisciplinary cases, such as periodontal-orthodontic, prosthetic-orthodontic and orthodontic-surgical cases, through treatment planning, selection of treatment modalities and successful patient referral.
The course is taught in four semesters - VII, VIII, IX and X, and includes 75 hours of lectures and 165 hours of practical exercises.
